J'ai constaté 2 défauts sur le pad.

1) Impossible de prendre un launch azimuth >270°
2) pourquoi y a-t-il un décalage de 180° entre le launch azimuth et la direction réelle de la direction du pad et du départ du lanceur
Avec un Launch az=220° le lanceur va à 40°
Avec un Launch Az=270° le lanceur va à 90°

Il faudrait ajouter 180° à l'orientation du pad

I see 2 mistakes on the pad:

1) It's not possible to go in a launch azimuth > 270° (we can use only 0° to 270°, but to use 270 to 360 i must use negatige from 0° for exemple for 300° i must use -60°)

2) why are there an offset of 180° between launch azimuth and the real direction of the pad and launcher
With a launch az=220°, soyuz goes to 40°
With a launch az=270°, soyuz goes to 90°
When pad is front to south the launch pad is set to 0°

I think it's best if your add 180° at this value "Launch Azimuth"

2/Parce qu'on lance tête en bas. Il faut savoir qu'à Baïkonour, Soyuz est lancée ainsi.
j'ai appris çà du vieux soyuz7k de McDope. Dealer McDope était une sacrée référence avant Orbiter2005, dommage qu'il ne soit plus présent!

Ok mais juste pour l'affichage on pourrait rajouter 180° afin que lorsqu'on veut tirer vers l'Est on mettre 90° au lieu de 270°, ce qui me parait logique.
Parceque je vois à l'avance les dizaines de remarques que je vais avoir à ce sujet.

Bonjour :-)

1) Hmmm....seems like a bug. I will investigate.

2) Like No matter has said, it is because of the "head down" position of the Soyuz.

After launch, if you "pitch down" (or autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,1) ) then the Launch Azimuth = Launcher Heading.

If you "pitch up" (or autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,-1) ) then the Launch Azimuth = Launcher Heading + 180 deg.

The Pad does not know if you will "pitch up" or "pitch down" - so it shows the Launcher Heading.

Idea: I can change the "menu" to display

Launch Azimuth = 90 (Head Up Launch)
Launch Azimuth = 270 (Head Down Launch)


What do you think?

1) Hmmm…semble comme un bug. J'étudierai.

2) Comme No matter a dit, il est en raison de la position de "tête en bas" du Soyuz.

Après le lancement, si vous "pitch down" (ou autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,1)) puis Launch Azimuth = Launcher Heading.

Si vous "pitch up" (ou autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,-1)) puis Launch Azimuth = Launcher Heading + 180 deg.

Le Pad ne sait pas si vous lancez "tête en dessus" ou "tête en bas"- ainsi elle montre Launcher Heading.

Idée : Je peux changer le "menu"

Launch Azimuth = 90 (Tête en dessus Launch)
Launch Azimuth = 270 (Tête en bas Launch)

Thx for the first bug.
For launch heading. the problem is delicate.

I tested with the pad front to 90°: Launch heading dispaly=270°
-autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,-1) = launcher go to 90° (use in our Soyuz)
-autopilot roll=(0,0,0,0,1) = launcher go to 270°

So i prefer dispaly the direction of the pad, because it's always the same, not depending of the autopilot. With launch azimth it's different according to the autopilot, so it's not a sure value.
The user doesn't know always if his launcher is head up or down. With my soyuz it's always the same (head up), so i prefer use +180°.
I consider that the direction of pad is best and that user must know where must going his launcher (to east or to west).
It's difficult to explain this in english.

It's not necessary to indicate the both, i will just specify that in the manual.
So please use Launch azimuth+180° (head up)
